BACK TO THE REASONWE MAKE MUSIC.

Technology is changing how music is made. TrakBak is going back to something more fundamental — the human journey behind every song.

The first idea. The unfinished lyric. The version that didn't work. The conversation that changed everything. The people who helped shape it.

Because a song is more than the file we hear at the end.

WE HEAR THE SONG.WE RARELY SEE THE JOURNEY.

Most music platforms begin when the creative process is almost over.

The song has been written. The decisions have been made. The recording is finished. Then it is uploaded, shared, liked and streamed.

But for a songwriter, some of the most important moments happened long before anyone pressed play.

The music industry has built countless places for the finished song.

TrakBak is building a home for everything that happens before it.

FEEDBAK SHOULD ARRIVEWHILE IT CAN STILL MATTER.

Too often, meaningful feedback arrives when a song is already finished — when changing a lyric, arrangement, performance or direction is harder.

TrakBak shifts FeedBak left.

Share the song while it can still change. Ask the question while the answer can still make a difference.

THE COMMUNITY ALREADY EXISTS.WE'RE GIVING IT A HOME.

Songwriters already find each other everywhere — across music platforms, forums, social networks, private groups and conversations.

But the community and the creative process are usually separated.

TrakBak brings them together.

One place to develop an idea, explore versions, ask for FeedBak, find collaborators, share your work, be discovered and receive recognition.

TrakBak is already bringing together songwriters and musicians from different creative communities and platforms — people who believe the journey deserves a place of its own.

WHY NOW

AS TECHNOLOGY MOVES FORWARD,WE'RE PUTTING THE HUMAN STORY BACK IN.

AI is changing creative technology at extraordinary speed.

For TrakBak, that makes the human part of songwriting more valuable, not less.

  • The idea that came from somewhere personal.
  • The line rewritten twenty times.
  • The version that almost worked.
  • The collaborator who heard something different.
  • The FeedBak you accepted.
  • And the FeedBak you didn't.

Technology should support creativity. It shouldn't erase the creator from the story.

THE LEGACY OF A SONGWRITER

THE SONG IS THE RESULT.THE JOURNEY IS THE LEGACY.

Over a lifetime, a songwriter creates far more than a collection of finished recordings.

There are first drafts. Abandoned verses. Voice notes. Versions. Collaborations. Decisions. Conversations. Breakthroughs. Songs that changed completely — and songs that never needed to.

Together, they tell the story of a creative life.

Our long-term vision is for TrakBak to help preserve that story — not just what a songwriter created, but how they became the songwriter they became.

BUILT FROM BOTH SIDES

30+ YEARS IN SOFTWARE.15 YEARS WRITING SONGS.ONE IDEA THAT WOULDN'T GO AWAY.

I'm Sarah Paradise-Brown, founder of TrakBak.

I've spent more than 30 years working in the software industry and around 15 years writing songs. Those two worlds gave me very different perspectives on the same problem.

Software is very good at capturing process, iteration, collaboration and change. Music platforms have traditionally focused much more on the result.

I wanted to build something around everything that happens before the result.

SARAH PARADISE-BROWN · FOUNDER

ONE IDEA.SHARED BY MANY.

TrakBak started with one songwriter's idea — but the frustration behind it isn't mine alone.

Across different songwriting and music communities, I've found people asking many of the same questions. Where do we share the work before it's finished? Where do we get meaningful FeedBak while it can still influence the song? Where do we find people who want to collaborate, rather than simply consume?

And why, with so many places to share music, is there still no real home for the journey of creating it?

FOUNDING MEMBERS

THE PEOPLE WHO SAW THE POTENTIAL EARLY.

TrakBak's Founding Members are songwriters and musicians from different platforms, communities and backgrounds who believe there is room for something different.

They are backing a vision for a place built around developing music — where unfinished work is welcome, constructive FeedBak has value, collaboration has purpose, and the people behind songs matter as much as the finished upload.

They're not simply early users. They're helping challenge the thinking, shape the platform and establish the kind of community TrakBak is intended to become.

They believed in the journey before TrakBak had even begun its own.

THE VISION

THE VISION IS CLEAR.

  • Build the place where songs grow.
  • Where unfinished is welcome.
  • Where FeedBak arrives while it can still matter.
  • Where collaboration starts with the song.
  • Where technology supports the songwriter rather than replacing them.
  • Where creators are recognised for contribution as well as outcome.
  • And where the journey behind a lifetime of music doesn't disappear when the final version is published.
